My name is Wijit Warinsirikul I'm a Thai man .I graduated from Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University.I'm a civil engineer. I worked in this field for 10 years ,4 years as a banker and another 10 years for my own business.I'm maried and we have 3 boys now. When I was a boy,I lived in the North Eastern province 'Ubonratchathani'. As a Thai boy ,I liked to go fishing,and sometimes catching Plakat. 'Plakat' is the name of Siamese fighting fish that we called in Thai. At that time I didn't know that Plakats I caught were Betta Smaragdina one of the wild betta of Thailand that many people ,also I,are searching for in nowaday. I'm very lucky to be a friend with Mr.Atison Phumchoosri (the coolest betta breeder in Thailand) who is now my adviser, he further helped me by providing great stock of bettas to breed into my lines. It's only he who really got me to start on the right foot.Thanks ! Atison. Now, I become a betta breeder. So I have spent many times to go to countryside,not only the North Eastern but all parts of Thailand in order to search for original wild bettas in Thailand. The searching is for the research of their wild lives. A few couples of bettas that I caught were full aged for spawning. The bettas for commercial purpose will be from my spawning tanks. |
